Prerequisites
- To write into a spreadsheet (add or update rows), first enable Actions mode in your console: it is off by default, reading stays open.
- A Google Sheets spreadsheet, and edit rights on it if you want to write to it.
- Its ID: in the spreadsheet's URL, the long string of characters between /d/ and /edit.
The connection
From your Alpative console, click “Connect” next to Google Sheets and choose the right Google account. Then, provide the spreadsheet ID in your questions.
What you can ask
In the spreadsheet [ID], read the “Tracking” tab and give me a summary of this month's figures.
Add a row to the spreadsheet [ID] with the summary of my GA4 report for the month: sessions, conversions, main channel.
Build a small monthly dashboard in this spreadsheet from my Analytics and Search Console data.
Good to know
Google Sheets is the best companion to the other connectors: your AI analyzes a source, then drops the result into a spreadsheet your teams already open. Remember to specify the tab and the range when it matters, otherwise your AI works on the first tab.
